CANADIAN COUNTRY STAR TEBEY TO RELEASE NEW EP LOVE A GIRL APRIL 27

Achieves First Billboard US # 1 With Co-Write For “Somebody Else Will” Performed By Justin Moore

Toronto, ON – Multi-talented singer/songwriter Tebey returns with a new EP Love A Girl to be released April 27th on Road Angel Entertainment/Warner Music Canada. Fans have already been enjoying an early taste through the infectious first single “Denim On Denim,” co-written by fellow

Canadian Kelly Archer and U.S. hit maker Nathan Spicer. Other tracks on the EP include the anthemic “That’s Gonna Get You Kissed,” the smoldering mid-tempo “Wreck Me” and the slow grooving “Who’s Gonna Love You.” Overall, the EP blends Tebey’s sophisticated pop music sensibility with the modern country sound he’s become known for along with one of the best voices in Canadian country music.

“Denim on Denim” was welcomed by radio like a favourite pair of jeans, jetting into the top 20 in less for 4 weeks achieving #1 most added (Mediabase), #1 Greatest Gainer and #1 Spinburner (Nielsen BDS) along the way. The song is enchanting programmers and fans alike being cited as “my fave new jam”, “sure to be the summer anthem of 2018”, “been on repeat 400 times in a row” and BC music director posted on Instagram that it is a very happy day when “Denim on Denim” comes on during her on-air shift.

Over the past 15 years, the Peterborough, Ontario native has grown into a true music industry renaissance man, finding success as a writer and producer for other artists, on top of his own recording and performing career. Tebey’s songs have been recorded by the likes of One Direction, Cher, Flo Rida, Shawn Desman and Nick Carter, as well as fellow country artists Big and Rich, Emerson Drive, Aaron Pritchett, and many others including the recent Justin Moore #1 “Somebody Else Will”.

Tebey’s own artist career kicked into high gear with the release of his 2013 debut album The Wait, containing “Somewhere In The Country,” that year’s most played Canadian country song (according to Nielsen BDS stats). Follow-up album Two arrived in 2014, spawning the equally massive hits “Wake Me Up” (top 5 Gold single) and “’Til It’s Gone,” and earning him a second consecutive nomination for the Canadian Country Music Association’s Rising Star Award and the most played Canadian country song of 2014 (Wake Me Up) according to Mediabase. In 2016 Tebey released the EP Old School, featuring the Top 10 hits “When The Buzz Wears Off” and “Jealous Of The Sun,” but a grueling work schedule soon led him to take a one-year sabbatical to decompress.

“After several years of moving at an incredible pace, I made a decision to slow things down in 2017 and step away from the spotlight”, says Tebey. I used this much needed break to recharge my battery, and really focus on the music I was creating. I put a lot of time into these new songs and I’m very happy that radio has embraced the first single ‘Denim on Denim’ with such open arms. I’m looking forward to getting the rest of these songs into the hands of country music fans!”

The second annual Tebey Golf Classic was announced this week in conjunction with GPHSF, Your Family Health Team Foundation in Peterborough.
